Tropical Print Off The Shoulder Blouse & White Pants

I’m excited for this weekend because once I again I get to reconnect with old friends. A few weeks ago I took a little weekend trip to Connecticut for the Cancer Care Walk/Run and it felt so good to see old faces. I was excited to see friends and family that have always been there for me… before cancer, during treatment, and after the storm. My story made the Greenwich Times, see the article here! My friends and family mean the world to me, they have all helped make my recovery so much easier. This weekend I’m headed to the beach and even though, I don’t get in the water much it’s nice to sit on the beach and chill out with close friends.

I’m the worst packer because I’m so indecisive. I can’t make up my mind about anything because I’m always thinking…what if the weather is bad? what if I don’t bring something I need? I usually wind up over packing. I end up bringing the entire house and I only wear one or two items because I hate the fuss. It’s only for a long weekend and My luggage looks like I’m going away for an entire month. I’ve gotten better over the years but I think I still over due it.

I’m all about off the shoulder tops, expect to see more as we head into summer. In one of my latest post I wore a coral colored on one with plain blue jeans. I found this one at TJMaxx for $6…yes, just $6 bucks! I’m here for fashion but I don’t think it’s necessary to spend a ton of money. I love the tropical print, it reminds me of the islands and since I’m an island girl it works perfectly. I’ve had the pants for about five years. I purchased them at Kohl’s, the brand is Jennifer Lopez. Another trend that I’m obsessed with is fringe. I have a camel colored fringe bag about the same size as the black one featured in this post. When I like something, I’ll typically get two of the same thing in different colors. The style is not exactly the same but they are very similar designs. What trends are your currently enjoying?

Print Dress & Pumps or sandals?

I swear I purchased a dress just like this from H&M last spring with a different print. H&M has some of the best prints and patterns in their clothing line. The dress is lined, fits really well and I think the quality is great for the price. I’ve been looking for more dresses to add to my wardrobe, most of what I have doesn’t fit anymore since my weight gain.

I’ve always been a girly girl, I remember my mother always bought me dresses with matching shoes and hair ribbons, dresses make me happy! They make me feel pretty and feminine.I love the length of this dress, it sits perfectly just above the knee. I decided to wear a belt but you don’t need to wear one, the fit is that awesome.

Since the dress has a busy print, I thought a neutral color shoe would work best. You can either go sexy with a pair of pumps or casual with a pair of nude sandals. Either pair of shoes work really well, for work I would wear the sandals, I would save the pumps for date night. My fringe bag goes everywhere so expect to see more posts featuring it. Which shoe would you wear?

Enjoy the pictures…leave some feedback…have a wonderful work week!

Multi Shades of Blue Dress & Blue Suede Shoes..

Hello guys & dolls!! I’m loving blue shades this season. I simply adore the way blue in various shades looks with black. I’ve had this dress for some time and I’ve only worn it once before but thought I’d pull it out the closet today.

Whats even more awesome is the fact that I’ve also had the shoes for a long time but never even realized they matched perfectly.

I found the shoes online at Bakers this past spring or early summer, can’t remember right now but I knew I had to have them 😉
I wanted a sophisticated look with a little attitude. I’ve been working on understanding my style. I thought I might put it in a category like, trendy, chic, vintage, etc.. but after checking with some of my fave ladies #BLMgirls, I agree that it doesn’t have to be defined.

I don’t know that I would ever be able to define it anyways so I’ll just keep doing what I do. I’m enjoying the experience, making new friends, and that’s all that matters.

I hope you all like the pictures, please leave some feedback!

Loving My eShakti Dress!

Hi Guys!! I’m so excited to share information about an amazing online company called eShakti. I was recently contacting by them to do a product review on a lovely dress featured on there website. eShakti is an international online retailer that specializes in ready-to-wear and customized clothing. They offer all styles in all sizes 0-36W, which is the core of their unique business concept.

I was honored by the invitation and thrilled to select a dress at no cost. I must admit it was difficult to pick just one because of  the amazing variety of beautiful pieces. eShakti’s custom capabilities allow their customers to easily tailor any item to their specific requirements. By doing so this ensures better fit and customer satisfaction.

I fell in love with the style of  this ” Vintage Houndstooth Print Dress“. I was able to figure out my size by using the size charts, conveniently located on their site. I didn’t have my dress customized but was truly impressed that it fit me perfectly. Customers who wish to have their orders customized can do so using the built in customization tools guide. This option offers a 3-step design and fit page, where they can increase the size of a bust, shorten the length of the garment and modify necklines and sleeve lengths.
After submitting my measurements and style selection, I received email confirmation and tracking details. The dress arrived with in 7 business days. This was an exceptional experience, please visit their website today!
